The double page shown here is simple; the main
image is speed across to pages, there is also a header of pictures of Rihanna
which would be very attractive to the target audience, as it shows a range of
hair styles she has had.
The colour
scheme is red, black and cream, the cream back ground suits the image as it
makes everything stand out and applying to the eye and gives it a fresh feel it
also gives it a more Indy look than pop because pop tends to use brighter
colours, while this takes the colour lead from her hair and the style/mood from
her flower garland.
The master
head ‘ Rihanna exclusive interview’ is in red and black writing , the letters
are not in bold they’re different to most master heads as they’ve got gaps
inbetwen them that fit in with the background.
This also gives a lighter, stylised and more feminine feel to the page.
The text is small and black, not very easy to
see therefore making it for a more serious musical audience as people just
looking for would be more gossip would be more interested in shorter, more
sensational stories.
The master
head is hard to work out the “got the love” part of the leader is taken from
the lyrics of her recent song. because some people would call it a background
but I think its abit of both, ‘USA’ with the image in front of the master head
it gives it a clear coniferdent message to the audience that the publisher is
not scared of taking risks. It also reflects the strong personal of Florence
welch.
The colour
scheme is grey and black and some red this gives it a more of a Bold background
as the focal point becomes is her hair and the flag.
The image is
Florence Welch in a dominant and attractive doing a sexy pose in a short black
outfit with black high heels on sitting on an American flag; this gives it a
meaning to the master head of the USA suggesting that as she is a British act tring
to ‘break’ the American music masket. The image is just over a page big, making
it to focal point of the double page spread and making Florence welch the clear
focus of the article
The text
is yet again small and black and is on the right hand side therefore
making it in ‘Q’ Magazine is not aimed at a younger target audience. The text
is also in Columns so it look more
formal.
